Moving to Grou.ps

For those of you who were not already aware, ALT.NET Vancouver has moved to Grou.ps. This is primarily because we didn't feel it was worth it to pay for Ning. Not that Ning was going to be particularly expensive, but it does in fact have a few noticeable shortcomings as well.

Grou.ps is a bit newer and a bit less mature, but it is a lot more flexible. You can get to the new site here:

A new look for ALT.NET Vancouver

Adam gave me admin access today to help with some of the maintenance and clean up some spam. I took the opportunity to update the site a bit as well. Let me know what you think about the logo and the new theme.



We really want to start trying to promote ALT.NET as a local developer community more so please let your colleagues know about us and encourage them to join and come out to our meet-ups. We will try to plan for more open-space style events in the future, but the first step is… Continue
